THE Government's rush to create academies and free schools could mean that some children from deprived areas of Bristol lose out.
That is the fear expressed by members of the city's children's services scrutiny commission.
They are worried about Education Jimmy choo shoes Secretary Michael Gove's plan to encourage schools to opt out of council control and to be funded directly from Whitehall with more freedom and flexibility.
